Born in South Florida, Truman Smith obtained his B.A in Political Science from the University of Florida in 2003.  After working for several years in the financial service industry in positions ranging from front line customer service to fraud prevention, Truman returned to school at the Charlotte School of Law where he graduated Cum Laude in 2013.

While attending law school, Truman was a Volunteer Guardian ad Litem in York County, South Carolina, advocating for the best interests of children in the Family Court.  He was also a summer intern with the Neighborhood Advocacy Center where he assisted in the representation of respondent parents in various legal proceedings both inside and outside of the Courtroom.

After graduating from Law School and passing the South Carolina Bar, Truman worked for a Mortgage Servicing Company in the Charlotte area, primarily in the Default Servicing area.  Truman was also licensed as a real estate agent in both North and South Carolina.

Truman joined FrickTrentLizzio, LLC in May of 2019.
